Why Flax Street?
Flax; in Maori, flax (harakeke) is often a metaphor for family bonds and human relationships
Street; a public road that connects two points
In the search for our brand identity, we undertook an exercise to best understand the important driving factors for ourselves for starting this business as business owners, financial advisors, fathers and husbands.
What became evident was that we both wanted to create something that we could be proud of and that would allow a strong connection between our business goals and our own family values (two points) one of which being the creation of opportunities for our families in the future.
Flax as a plant, is commonly found right across Aotearoa and is something that many kiwis would associate to our home land. We had it in our gardens growing up, as did many houses around us, and as a fibre, it’s incredibly strong and very durable. With that being said, part of our goal was to create a business that was sustainable, durable and built on a strong foundation.
Street, as the definition states, it is the connection between two points. While there are many different ‘points’ and moving parts to a home loan, our responsibility is to do everything within our role to help you connect those points and realise your property goal.
At Flax Street, our focus is all about delivering relatable & genuine service, educating & empowering those we work with and providing the best experience possible for our clients on their journey to home ownership.
We will keep our clients safe, through a private and confidential process. We spend time getting to know our clients, to understand the journey they’ve been on thus far and where they want to be in the future. We will remove the barrier of knowledge or understanding by providing straight-up advice to help you make better financial decisions for yourself & your family.
One of our goals is to empower you to get ahead by making educated decisions with property.
We are here, and we are ready to support you in navigating your home loan journey.
